Born from a unique blend of symphonic metal and melodic death metal, Mute Prophet combines emotive and atmospheric symphonic metal with a heavy, guitar-driven ferocity, with fans describing them as "Nightwish meets Arch Enemy" and "Epica meets Children of Bodom."
Mute Prophet stands out from their peers in the symphonic and gothic genres, supplementing their sound with complex guitar riffs, blazing fast solos and a frontwoman who sings and growls with equal proficiency.
In December of 2016, the band self-released their debut album, The Unheard Warning. Guitarist Kevin Goetz handled all production and audio engineering duties at his home studio, following in the emerging tradition of bands releasing music without the support of a record label. They quickly gained a following among symphonic metal fans on Facebook, growing from an audience of zero to thousands because of their standout sound.
2017 has seen Mute Prophet working on multiple followup albums simultaneously, while also adapting their material to be replicated live, with backing tracks providing drums and orchestration in absence of available musicians. Their main focus is to further their careers as recording artists, and continue to grow their audience worldwide.
